Our in house foodie resident Chuck Burgers works with a range of suppliers to source the best quality ingredients, ethically and sustainably.


Meat is sourced from C&M meats based in Hackney’s Broadway market where we choose our bespoke cuts of British meats to create our burgers. Our more specialist meats are from Moens, the organic butcher of Clapham.


Hobbs House Bakery was established in the Cotswolds in the 1920s and is a true family business with five generations of baking experience. They supply the majority of our bread from 60-year-old culture sourdoughs to rich brioche loaves. Our delivery is always scheduled on the same vehicle as our dry store deliveries thus reducing the need for multi-drop deliveries into the heart of an already congested London.


A handful of our dishes include pickles and ferments, for these specialist ingredients we turn to Vadasz Deli based Hackney, Makers Of Traditional Raw Sauerkraut, Kimchi, Pickles & Relishes, hand made in small batches using natural ingredients that are adapted from traditional family recipes.

Our veggies are sourced as locally as possible. From time to time for the weird and wonderful fruit, vegetable, herbs our latest supplier The Wonky Parsnip based in Kent always has an interesting selection of seasonal goodies to excite!


We adopt a zero single-use plastic policy for our takeaway packaging using recycled materials that are fully biodegradable.


Raising a glass to responsible drinking

The Tower Hamlets Best Bar None Awards is a national scheme supported by the Home Office, designed to promote the responsible management and operation of premises which are licensed to serve alcohol.

We ensure that practical steps are taken to reduce alcohol induced crime and anti-social behaviour, ensuring the safety of patrons and the surrounding area.

For the fourth year in a row, Big Chill Brick Lane are proud winners of not one but two awards making us not only a fun place to be but a safe one too.

Zero waste to landfill.

We’re proud to operate a zero waste to landfill system in our bars. Zero waste to landfill is where no waste streams go to landfill. Instead, materials are diverted to other uses, for example:

  • Cardboard goes to paper mills
  • Glass goes to be re-melted
  • Plastic goes to be made into new packaging
  • Food waste goes to composting
  • Biodegradable takeaway packaging sourced from recycled materials

Straws suck!

Big Chill has axed plastic straws in favour of greener alternatives. All of our straws are now paper or rice and biodegradable, available on request. We hope that all our customers help us to get behind this initiative so together we can make our environment a better place.
