what food is available?
We've partnered with Chick'n'Sours - full food menu on our Chick'n'Sours page. Available for lunch, dinner, and private parties.
what drinks are available?
Our extensive drinks menu includes craft beers and cocktails as well as quality wines and spirits, all served up by our talented mixologists. Allergen information for our drinks menu is available on request.
can i bring my own food & drink?
All drink must be supplied by the venue, sourcing your own food must be discussed and agreed with the venue prior to the event day.
i want to pick my own menu, is this possible?
Let us know your budget, number of guests and requirements and we’ll give you a choice of menus to choose from.
will food i purchase contribute to the minimum spend?
Yes, all food and drink sourced and confirmed by us will contribute to your minimum spend. Please note if you are bringing your own food and this has been agreed, this does not count towards your minimum spend.
can i order food on the day?
Unfortunately no, all food orders need to be finalised a minimum of 7 working days prior to the event.
is there a minimum food order?
Yes, the minimum order is for 20 people. For more details contact your event manager.
how does food get delivered?
It's entirely up to you, all of our food is served by our waiting staff, we offer canapé or buffet style depending on booking type.
i would like a special drink created for my guests, is this possible?
Of course, we have an expert team of mixologists on hand to both advise on drink selections and create bespoke tipples. All drink requests must be finalised a minimum of 5 days prior to the event.
cost & payment
what is the hire cost for rooms at big chill king's cross?
There is no hire charge for use of Entire Venue, Ground Floor, First Floor or The Space, we work on a minimum spend basis. Minimum spend varies from space to space, day of the week and time of year. We have a hire fee of £50 for use of The Green Room, The Loft and The Hide.
what is a minimum spend and how does it work?
Minimum spend means you can hire a space within the venue for free, by guaranteeing that a minimum amount of money will be spent during the course of your event, this amount will be agreed between yourself and us. In order to reach your minimum, spend, food and drink must be purchased by yourself and guests, all pre-orders also contribute. Once your event has finished we check your areas tab, if the agreed minimum spend has been reached no money is owed.
what happens if we don't reach the minimum spend by the end of our event?
It is the clients' responsibility to reach the agreed minimum spend. In cases where it is not reached the outstanding balance must be settled before leaving the venue.
is service charge included within minimum spend?
A discretionary service charge of 10% will be added to the bill on the day of your event when you hire one of the following spaces: The Space, The Deco Lounge, first floor, and whole venue.
do we need to pay a deposit?
We ask for 20% of the minimum spend which can be paid via BACs, credit card (excluding American Express) or debit cards

The Big Chill Team were incredible to work with from start to finish. They're an organised group of people who take care of you during the entire process of getting your event set-up. They always checked in to see if there were any issues, too, and they were considerate of any concerns or questions we had. The food was incredible too, and the options were diverse. The rooftop terrace is a great space and has a relaxed atmosphere that everyone at my company found perfect for the event. I'd recommend them to anybody who wants a casual vibe and a good time with good food and good music.
